Great bindings with a great look

I bought these for my wife. They came quickly and well-packaged. The bindings were easy adjust for the size of boot, and the mechanism for stepping in and releasing was a breeze. My wife said the hammock in the back added comfort on heelside and gave the bindings the feeling of having more flex while still staying really responsive. She was super happy with them and they looked great with her board.

Not life changing.

The good … easy to step in, even while seated. Just hold the board and pull it into the boot. It clicked it easily for me. There’s no clicking or heel lift. Boot is secure. Feels responsive.

The bad … it wasn’t “life changing”. You have to bend over quite a bit to pull hard to release the boot and then really twist or yank your foot out. For me, the time I saved getting into the step-on bindings versus strap-on, was negated by the time to get out. Getting out of binding straps are much easier and can be done while slowly gliding to a stop. The Burton boots are also narrow in the toe box. I wore thinner socks and had the liners heat molded. Helped a little but not enough to eliminate sore toes at the end of the day (and loosening the boot didn’t help).

Would I buy them again? Not sure. Ask me again after a few more runs to see how my toes feel. I think I’d be completely happy with the strap-on versions for less money.
